Republican law makers from Michigan and Ohio met on a Twitter spaces call and discussed strategies and next steps for transgender care legislation in Michigan, Ohio and the country.

Click went on to discuss an interview for Reuters where he was asked if he felt bad that adults would possibly lose access to care if medical facilities were shut down because of HB 68. He said

…no, I don’t feel bad. We have to take one bite at a time, do it incrementally. When you put everything into one pot, it’s going to be harder for you to get any legislation across the finish line.

The more Gary Click speaks about transgender care, the more we know he wants to ban it and remove it from medical board texts. He wants it to be illegal for anyone to be transgender and receive medical care that they have consented to. Again, these are adults making healthcare decisions between their medical providers and themselves.

It’s clear that Gary thinks everyone in the LBGTQ+ community is not living to his standard. He also states in the material for HB 68 his views on the LBGTQ+ community.

Gary makes it very clear that people that grow up to be gay or lesbian are different from those that are straight and have children. It’s mind boggling to think that he can not accept non straight relationships or families. As seen from this sermon.

He is coming for marriage rights. He is coming for all transgender care. He has to evangelize. It’s his job. He can not separate that from being a Representative for Ohio and helping all constituents and upholding everyone’s civil rights.
